Nico's dream is to bring the gift of music to her world! Besides serving as owner and operator of the Karaoke
Pony, she has served as Music Director and host of Tribal Rhythms, a Wisdom of the Elders radio segment that deals with the
contributions of traditional and contemporary Native American music. Two serioes of these programs have and are now
being aired on National Public Radio, AIROS, KBOO radio station in Portland, and elsewhere.
Nico was a member of The Jumpers Band, a blues/jazz/soft rock group that played in Oregon and
Washington. She was the lead singer with this talented group, led by Eddy "E.Z." Campy and featuring Boyd Martin
on drums, Gordon Hermanson on guitar and Nathan Olsen on keyboards. The band had to, in Eddy's words, "get a day job."
Occasionally, Nico writes reviews of local karaoke sites in a local paper, Positively Entertainment,
that offers articles, reviews, and event listings featuring the best in bands, music, dining, karaoke and more from the Portland,
Oregon and Seattle, Washington areas. You can pick up a free copy of Positively Entertainment at most karaoke venues
in the area. The online site for all issues of this paper tell what's going on in the karaoke world in Portland.
